It turns out that we Dominatrices have a day of our own now. Mothers, fathers, presidents, secretaries and a host of patron saints have been celebrated on their respective dates for years, so I suppose it was inevitable that we’d be allocated one in the end – though it could be a while before Hallmark bring out a range of commemorative Femdom Day cards.

I received an email from a mysterious stranger this evening, telling me all about a number of meetings, lectures and parties taking place on Saturday 24th July at locations around the world. As well as events in Europe and the USA, there will be celebrations on the SecondLife website, including a picnic in a “virtual Hyde Park”. Meanwhile, we Londoners will have to make do with the real Hyde Park – congregating by the Diana Memorial at 3pm on the 24th if you’re interested.

“Private and public meetings of dominant women and submissive men, sumbmissive trans or submissive women,” says the website. “It’s a way of love, it’s safe, sane and consensual. The next Club Pedestal will be on Thursday July 29th at the Colosseum in Vauxhall. For those who haven’t been before, it is a club night where women are worshipped and men are minions. I’ll be House Mistressing as usual, but this time there will be a brand new cabaret show taking place from 11pm. It will feature a stunning line-up of acts, including the award-winning boylesque star “Equador the Wizard” with his unique combination of close-up magic, comedy and striptease.

As ever, there will be:
