Here’s part of a brilliant interview with genderqueer feminist porn star, Jiz Lee:

The Scavenger: “You are involved in productions that steer away from ‘vanilla sex.’ Why is it important to you, to show things like urination, menstrual blood, body hair, fisting, BDSM and ejaculation in your work?”

Jiz Lee: “Because these things are a part of sex! These things (and other taboo subjects) are a part of the sex we have, and are valid desires and physical sexual responses. When something like female ejaculation is censored, the statement made is that it is shameful, obscene – or worse: that it doesn’t even exist. The decision to make my stage name Jiz was to bring attention to the fact that I can ejaculate, and by using this name I hope to promote the idea that this kind of sexual response is normal, and even celebrated.”

In the cold pit of insomnia, I found this. It’s a fifth century AD Gnostic hymn from Nag-Hammadi in Middle Egypt that seems to sum up (at least for me) the glorious contradictions faced by the worshipped Pro-Domme:

“I am She whom one honours and disdains.

September Pedestal

The next Club Pedestal will be on a Friday, and Ms Tytania and I will be performing something rather special…

From the newsletter:

“We’re pleased to announce the next date for Club Pedestal will be FRIDAY September 24th at Club Colosseum. We’re all very excited about the return to weekend events, Pedestal has grown steadily while at the Colosseum (last event was a record turn out of 550), and hopefully this will make it much easier for people to attend, especially the large number of people who have to travel long distances. Opening times have been shifted back as well, we now open at 10pm and close at 5am. This should also help people get home afterwards on public transport.

Live performances (12-1am) for the September Pedestal include the winner of this year’s Tournament of Tease, boylesque star Sparky Strange, dancing a couple of his best routines. We also see the return of the much loved Domedienne Mistress ‘O’, referred to as “The Glory of O” by Time Out. Hel & Sophia are performing a ‘Flaming Femdom’ act with their gorgeous man. The finale will be Ms Slide & Ms Tytania’s ‘Interactive Human Sculpture’, with lots of men.
