Here’s a funny – if rather controversial – article from Cracked.com. It’s David Wong’s list of “5 Ways Modern Men are Trained to Hate Women”. I can’t say I agree with it in its entirety. After all, fifty percent of the human race can’t be such sensitive, pathetic, knob-driven little creatures, can they? And if individual chaps are such weeping chodes, nurture rather than nature must surely be at fault, as the don’t blame me, my penis made me do it excuse should always be greeted with scepticism (and sometimes a long jail sentence) by anyone who encounters it? And aren’t fast cars, skyscrapers and other phallic paraphernalia just for the benefit of other insecure gentlemen, not ladies*?

*I stopped at Thurrock services on Saturday night and its car park was filled with boys in souped-up cars, revving a lot, making their tyres smoke and admiring each other’s paint jobs. There were no women. It was dogging without the pretence of sex: just a lot of blokes showing off their possessions and prowess to other blokes.
