Comedian, musician and fellow Bizarre Ball performer Frank Sidebottom, aka Chris Sievey, has died after collapsing at his home in Hale, Manchester. In May, he revealed that he was fighting cancer, but told the Manchester Evening News: “It’s bobbins. I’ve had worse.”

His World Cup single “Three Shirts on my Line” was released for download a week ago and all profits will go to Cancer Research. RIP Frank. You will be missed.
