The Story of E

So, the Max Mosley case is over, all involved have gone home for tea and cake, and the News of the World have slunk away sixty-thousand-pounds poorer, muttering something about it all being the fault of the European Union.

And this just leaves us with Woman E, aka Michelle, aka Mistress Abi of Milton Keynes, and a lot of unanswered questions. She’s the current hate figure on every BDSM message board, and of course, if the general consensus as to how the story was sold is correct, then this is perfectly justified. Yet I can’t help but feel that this isn’t the case, and she has been shat on from all directions (see previous post on tabloid blackmail and my other tinfoil-hatted conspiracy theories about this here).

Firstly, I can’t believe that she’d willingly approach the NOTW. It’s just not done. In nature, they’re the enemy. It’d be like a fish flip-flapping out of the water to sidle up to a heron and report on where there’s a really nice pond to feed from.

She appears to be an intelligent, articulate woman – to be a successful Domme, and to involved with the Security Service, she’d have to be – and it just doesn’t seem feasible that she’d voluntarily fuck up her professional and social life in exchange for a pittance. Anyone with even the slightest flicker of cognitive function is aware that the NOTW is a cheap, sleazy jizzrag of a publication that misrepresents and sensationalises anything it gets its greasy little hands on. I don’t think that any sentient being would go to them willingly, let alone an intelligent adult who would – I’d imagine – be all too aware of how much the people in our industry and lifestyle are persecuted by the gutter press. It just doesn’t make sense to me why she would speak to them without a bit of blackmail and general tabloid cuntery being involved. Again, I still go with my original theory.

Whatever led to the story coming out in the first place, she did an excellent job in fucking up the NOTW’s court appearance. To be their star witness and spontaneously fuck off at the last minute was the very best thing she could have done, and it was ultimately the catalyst for the NOTW losing in such a spectacular fashion. If she had pulled out at any other time, or refused to testify in the first place, then the NOTW would have had time to build their case around different details. Yet they placed all the emphasis on her testimony, and then on the day, she pulled an impromptu sicky. It doesn’t make up for the damage done, but in tactical terms, it’s pure John Grisham. Whatever went before, I do respect her for what appears to be a clever and premeditated demolition of their entire defence by simply not turning up.

Anyway, that’s my opinion. I wasn’t there and don’t know her so it may well be completely wrong. She could just be some idiot who sold a story.
